The impressive Arenal Volcano can be seen from La Fortuna town and from further away.
This conical volcano is one of the most popular known nationally and internationally.
In october 2010 was the last time that Arenal ejected incandescent material and magma
however still log some activity.
The national park is about 15 minutes from La Fortuna town or about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Tronadora.
